Wandal Community Garden is located at 4 Haig Street, Wandal - Rockhampton 4700.
The Wandal Community Garden is a unique project for the local community of Rockhampton and aims to create a sustainable garden and ecosystem to create a healthier, more eco-friendly society. The Wandal Community Garden day service participants will be working alongside other community garden members to establish a functioning food production garden. The community garden will also highlight the importance of health as an ongoing and important issue for all people, therefore displaying that healthy living is at the core of the Wandal Community Garden.
Wandal Community Garden is an initiative of Home Support Association Inc (HSA). HSA is a not-for-profit organisation that provides quality and meaningful support services to people with a disability. Currently operating for fifteen years, Home Support involves a volunteer board of management that direct governance and implement the strategic direction the organisation works towards. The funded day service is available to people with a disability between the ages of 18 and 65. Eligibility criteria must be met.
